Sports Capital Grants announced today.
Cork South West Fine Gael TD Jim Daly has congratulated all the sports clubs who were successful in their applications for capital funding under the 2014 Sports Capital grants which were announced today.Over €600,000 was distributed to clubs across West Cork. Among the successful clubs in West Cork were The Sáile project in Kinsale and Timoleague Community Association who were each awarded €150,000. Other big winners in West Cork were Castlehaven GAA club was awarded €141,000 and Kilbrittain GAA which was granted €120,000.
Grants totaling €4.2 million euro were distributed throughout the County of Cork to various sports clubs. Other successful clubs in West Cork were Drinagh Rangers Club and Roisscarbery’s Carbery Rangers who were grant aided €22,000 and €16,000 respectively. Ardfield FC and Ardfield/Rathbarry Tennis Club were awarded a total of €50,000.
“These are all community and voluntary organisations working tirelessly towards ensuring sports facilities are available to the next generation in their own communities. I wish to sincerely congratulate all of the successful clubs and wish them well with the development of their new facilities” said Jim Daly.
